Improving Your Productivity with Emulators

Try as you might, sometimes you can't do what you want or need to do with Linux alone. This is one of the reasons for creating a multiboot system. An alternative or supplement to multibooting, though, is using an emulator—a program that enables you to run one OS's programs on another OS. Many different emulators are available, and they come with varying features and capabilities. Before exploring some of the specific emulators available, though, you should understand a little of how an emulator works and what the emulator's method of operation implies about its capabilities.
