Limiting the timeout of the web server may reduce the ability to perform denial of service attacks.
Request limiting can also be tweaked to ensure that malicious attacks have minimal space to work with. You can do this by tweaking the following Apache configuration options to suit your web application:
LimitRequestBody 524288 LimitRequestFields 20 LimitRequestFieldSize 819C LimitRequestLine 819C
WebDAV should also be disabled if it isn't used, or else limit the maximum size of the XML request body based on your web application requirements:
