Physical Access Controls

The most secure form of protection is to deny physical access to the system at the start. Denying physical access involves implementing adequate physical access controls to restrict unintended users from gaining physical access to the system, such as storing the system in an access controlled server room or data center.

Oftentimes, due to the quantity of servers in an organization and the space required to store them securely, this creates logistic difficulties. These logistical issues can be overcome through server virtualization.
