In some cases, you can use YaST to manage information in the LDAP Directory. In many cases, however, YaST just doesn't provide enough information. For example, YaST doesn't have a good interface to add generic information to an LDAP server, and no versatile querying tool is available either. In the following sections, you'll learn how to use command-line utilities to add, modify, and query information in the Directory.
Tip In addition to the command-line tools, some graphical tools are available. One tool that is pretty well known is gQ. You can download this LDAP tool from http://gq-project.org.
