In this chapter, you learned how to configure NTP for time synchronization in your network. You have read that, by default, the NTP configuration is not hard at all. On SUSE Linux Enterprise Server it is just usable out of the box without any modifications, if you can live with the limitation that in that case it will synchronize only with itself. To make an NTP time server more usable, you should always include a line to refer to the server with which you want to synchronize. In the next chapter, you will learn how to manage cryptography on SUSE Linux.
