To see what's happening on your server, you need log files. SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 uses syslog-ng as its most important mechanism to create these log files. In this chapter, you learned how to configure this service. You also learned how to make sure that a log file that has gone mad is not capable of filling your system with log files completely by using the logrotate mechanism. This was the last chapter in Part 2 of this book. Part 3 is about configuring SUSE Linux Enterprise Server as a server in the network. In Chapter 13, the part's first chapter, you will learn how to set up the network connection.
