Not everything is always perfect in the network world. Plenty of things can go wrong when trying to communicate with systems half a world (or more) away. Therefore, Ubuntu provides a handy set of network troubleshooting tools.
To start the network tools, select System O Administration O Network Tools from the Panel menu. The Network Tools window, shown in Figure 14-8, appears.
There are eight different popular network tools provided in this one interface. The following sections walk through each of these tools.
